Electronic Control Unit (ECU)

Function: The heart of the electronic fuel injection system. The ECU gathers information from various different sensors indicating engine/vehicle operating conditions, from this data the ECU will calculate output values that may include fuel injector "on time", ignition timing, idle speed values and the control of various emission control devices.
